• By agreeing to use the services of Dr Matthew Grimshaw (hereafter The Science Editor) in any capacity, you agree to all terms and conditions as set out below
• By agreeing to hire The Science Editor in any capacity, you agree to pay the agreed cost in full before finished works are supplied
• The Science Editor may terminate a project at any time for any reason
• The Science Editor is under no obligation to accept or complete a project
• The words 'text', 'document', or 'project' are taken to include all correspondence by any means including but not limited to electronic files, emails, or verbal communication
• All correspondence between clients and The Science Editor is considered confidential
• All text and documents supplied to The Science Editor are considered confidential and subject to a non-disclosure agreement
• All changes or edits to the text are suggestions only
• The presence of errors that require revision or correction does not indicate that The Science Editor has not performed in accordance with these Terms and Conditions
• In the event that you are unhappy with the quality of the edit, if you contact us within seven days of receiving your edited document, we will revise the text or clarify the edits free of charge providing that this work falls within the scope of the original project
• The Science Editor accepts no responsibility for any errors of fact or understanding in any supplied text
• Articles or any other text written by The Science Editor can be used only in accordance with the agreed usage rights
• It is the client's responsibility to determine whether any information or statement in the supplied text is subject to copyright, non-disclosure agreements, or other intellectual property rights prior to publication
• It is the client's responsibility to determine whether any statement in the supplied text could be considered defamatory or libelous to any party
• All advice, assessments, or statements provided by The Science Editor are Dr Grimshaw's opinion only
• The Science Editor accepts no responsibility for any advice given, whether acted upon or not
• It is the client's responsibility to determine whether recommended actions are legal and conform to the rules of your employer(s) and relevant authorities
The client agrees to fully indemnify and hold The Science Editor harmless from:
• Any inaccurate, defamatory, or misleading statements or information in text written, proofread or edited by The Science Editor
• Any inconsistencies in the quality, content, completeness, suitability, or accuracy of the client's documents
• Any claim or demand arising from the use of the services offered by The Science Editor
• Any violation of intellectual property or other right by the client
• Any consequences of delays by any party
The Science Editor accepts no responsibility for the following:
• Any adverse consequences or damages that arise from any of The Science Editor's services
• Any consequences of changes, edits, or information contained in any text supplied, written, proofread, or edited by The Science Editor
• Any errors of fact or understanding in any text supplied, written, proofread, or edited by The Science Editor
